Our History
In 1961, it was decided to take the 3 existing water companies; Smith Water System, Old Town Water Company and W.C. Shelley Water System and turn it into one company that they would call Joseph City Water System.  The very first water board consisted of 6 members; Raymond H. Randall, Lester R. Porter, Russell Westover, Jay N. Miller, Joseph L. Petersen and Elwin E. Bushman. The first Board Meeting of the Joseph City Water System was held on Thursday, May 4, 1961 at 7:30 p.m. at the Church House.

Damage Claim Reporting
The following is the damage claim reporting  bylaw of the Joseph City Domestic Water Improvement and Sanitary Districts.
All sewer line backups or water line breaks that occur from the piping on the District's lines (these do not include lines that run from the property line to the residence or the meter to the residence; those are strictly the customer's responsibility) that result in damage to the property must be reported to the District within 3 business days of the incident.  All damage claims are to be filed at the Joseph City Utilities office, 4504 1st North Ave, by the homeowner within 3 business days.  All claims made within 3 business days will promptly be investigated by the District and monetary claims can be brought to the District Board for consideration for compensation.  Any damage claim properly filed within the 3 day reporting period, with damages estimated over $2000.00, will automatically be reported to our insurance provider.  Financial compensation requests must be submitted to the District within 6 months of the date of loss provided on the damage claim.
Damage Claim Form
